Dear God, would be nice if Radio 4 didn't repeat obviously nonsensical arguments. Being forced into being undocumented and exploited by employers is not a "pull factor". Also the conflation between "asylum" and "illegal" is getting damn tedious.

There is no immigration crisis. Our successive governments are either bombing or aiding in the obliteration of countries in the Global South, then whipping up racist hatred against those very victims. The problems are what the rich are doing to the poor.

I don’t buy the idea that the Gaza comments are designed to distract us from the coup. Because not long ago the same people said that the coup comments were designed to distract us from something else. He is chaotic *and* corrupt. There is no pattern or plan. Nothing is impossible.
