Here is the most innocuous reason I might block someone: a person posts something bland and innocuous and totally inoffensive. I might give two minutes of my day reading it. Fine. But don’t make me scroll through 75 consecutive author’s reposting of every response to the original post.

“They didn’t teach [this thing I am interested in right now] when I was in school” is actually shorthand for, “I was didn’t always listen in school and just missed it when it was taught or, more likely, just forgot it.” It's OK to learn new stuff and not be mad at the world about it.

Just finished "Man on the Inside" on Netflix. I shed some tears in that last episode. As someone who just turned 64 last week and with close relatives in my wife's family who have had Alzheimer's (we keep our fingers crossed), this show was moving, funny, and wonderful. Ted Danson is just so great.

Complaining about sites like Facebook or Instagram seems silly, especially, since I don't really use them much at all, but one of the biggest annoyances of these sites is that if you do find something interesting and you leave your phone for even a second, the post completely disapears.
