This is interesting as English universities strongly argued the fees cape needed increasing, for the first time in years, as they were in financial dire straits, yet that chart seems to show our territory spending per student is quite high

Nice. Like the new look but was also like the old too, always somewhat surprised that cms' like jekyll, hugo, wp seem to lack (or hide) single column themes which are similar to medium/substack

Sounds interesting. Haven't given it much thought, but no regardless of my views of AI - the companies behind them subvertly harvesting restricted content - this seems like a broadly good thing? Training AI with 'good' data, and we can't gatekeep how public research should be used?

There is a certain skill in knowing when what starts as a relatively obscure fact becomes broadly in the zeitgeist. I remember Harry and Paul's Story of the twos, there was a sketch which played on the snooker game first on colour TV. An obscure story told so many times it was now commonly known
