I actually know a bit about this because I'm currently driving for an Amazon DSP (no work for 8 months; needs must).

Rental vans are because most places don't have enough branded vans for peak.

Personal vehicles are by "Flex" drivers, who have a gig similar to door dash etc to pick up any slack

wouldn't be surprised if there had been some discussions after Apple acquired F1 coverage starting next year - they said in that announcement that you wouldn't need another subscription on top of Apple TV to watch it there.

Here's an idea; no workplace-based health insurance. Instead companies give you their "share" of premiums as salary and then, I dunno, maybe somebody (government?) can take that and use it to negotiate on your behalf, directly with healthcare providers.

It's mad. I hate dealing with car insurance and that's relatively easy. Not as if I can get into an out of network car accident.
