Yes, very nearby. That renovation project was a big success.

I believe so! I was walking along and noticed a plaque on the wall. It's always fun to see who lived where around Paris.

I just happened to walk by his former address yesterday when I was walking through the 2nd.

A fascinating history!

I'm reaching the end of my patience after two weeks and know it's at least another week until they get here. They're really dragging their feet.

They've been putting up the holiday lights around Paris and they do look nice. I'm sure it will be lovely to see down there too!

Must be a busy morning for the boys looking out the window! That's some top notch activity right there.

People who don't travel for work always think that it sounds so glamorous but the reality is this. When I used to travel a lot, I lost track of where I was because hotels/taxis/offices all look the same.

They even sent an alert that it was being processed, but they never did and then left for 4 days. 😵‍💫

Until the pipes are replaced, it's short moments of using the water and then shutting it off. Makes washing dishes and laundry very easy.

Also annoying is replacement of hot water pipes costing same as cold (cracked) which makes no sense at all. Ugh, insurance companies suck.

I definitely preferred the smaller/regional conferences. It's so stupid today but 100% due to greed. It was fun to see Big Ten vs Pac 10 play because it was something unique and now it's just ordinary. I'm sure they will continue to find new ways of making me hate college sports.

I was floored last year when a friend from the US passed through and told me about people with 8 - 10 year car loans! I couldn't believe anything like that was possible. I vaguely recall people having 50 year loans in Japan at the peak before their bubble burst years ago, so...
November 11, 2025 at 5:39 AM
I'm a Big Ten person but every year they make it more difficult to like anything about the conference. They're ruining everything due to greed and the latest bullshit they're jamming through (PE investment) is going to make it all so much worse.

I can't wait until he's no longer the Dem leader in the Senate. Even better if he was primaried and sent home.
November 11, 2025 at 5:23 AM
I don't recall ever seeing it, but will have a look around. Sounds good.
November 11, 2025 at 5:11 AM
That all sounds great! I could dive in to pecan pie as well.

That sounds great! I was just looking at pumpkin for curry so will have a look around.

After watching the US court give Trump a free pass on corruption, I was happy to see the system here function correctly until now. They'll be using these same excuses when he's found guilty again and it's not fair to everyone else.

What will they do when he loses again? It's not like he ever showed an ounce of mercy for others and was happily aggressive with people he hated. It's a bad look to let him go home.
