Former writer and reviewer, now at Apple doing fun things. I run and play Magic: The Gathering in my rare free time.
My wife is not social, and she unfortunately got hurt last week so her marathon on Sunday (was aiming for another sub-3:00 at 50) is off, but she is still not going to my company holiday party tomorrow.

I think I lost my copy during a move sometime this past decade. It was great, though.

My kids built them this summer (lots of fun!). Priced out the same systems at the same store this week, hundreds of dollars more.

It's literally 3x in 2-3 months now (see price chart). Once companies run out of their stockpiles, things are going to go up. pcpartpicker.com/product/pwxR...

My oldest kid (16) has to do all their essays in class as too many kids kept using AI at home. Makes those days very stressful for him.

Still going to get my Dad a "Oregon State: 2025 Pac-12 Co-Champions" T-shirt for Christmas

And I need a ricer. Ugh.

No one else in the house likes mashed potatoes so I skipped them this year, but maybe I'll do this tomorrow.

One time staying in Vegas for CES a friend ordered an LG service remote that came the next day to fix the TV in his room.

It’s a pain in the ass to make. Cubed bread yesterday that’s drying out now to make it tomorrow, veggies to chop, etc… Love stuffing but it’s a very high work to enjoyment ratio.

Just put it on (calibrated LG G3 OLED), very sharp aside from logos in banner at bottom. Those are noticeably bad.

Out of college my first job was a temp who was replacing every computer at Boeing. There was a massive entire building that was just for building wire harnesses. You'd pull out a massive board that had it diagrammed and then lay it out. Just an ungodly amount of wiring.

My biggest issue with Analogue is the fake scarcity aspect. There’s no reason I’m aware of that there shouldn’t be plenty of all of their consoles for people that want one.

Burry shorting some of them, Thiel and others reducing their stakes, and I think people becoming concerned that they're doing so much investing in each other than it puts everyone at more risk.

Friends were playing at lunch in high school, watched them, then started playing right when Revised released.

Even though it's not the best TV, I'd almost consider the Samsung Frame for the clean install and the ability to make it some very weird looking art project to visitors.

Wait is there an automated way with a professional rail system?

First game one of my kids watched at all. Don't think it'll make them a fan, but it's a hell of a way to start.

The sound of that was so clean, didn't have to look

I run this Level 1 Techs KVM (well, the USB-C version instead of USB-B), rock solid, works great, only one I could find that work with a 4K 144Hz displays. Very glad that someone is making this product for me.

I'm not in Maine, I'm just donating to candidates this cycle that are running against people that should 100% be retired at their age. I just don't understand why people have to cling to their priors so badly after they learn something new, that's why you learn!

A couple weeks ago almost gave money to him because I didn’t want to elect a 77 year old. New info came out so i reconsidered my position and would not give him money. It’s not hard to adjust your views when you learn something new!

This feels like a "Hate the sin, love the sin-ger" situation.

Here they are with alt-text if you want people to copy them easier.
