Hmm. Have now watched the 2nd episode of Pluribus. There are no delineated characters except our lead, who is like a non-comedic version of Eleanor from The Good Place, while Pirate Girl/Zosia is a non-comedic version of Janet from The Good Place. I still think it's a narrative cul-de-sac.

I used to teach a course on satellite and space communication. A question I posed to the students was, if we received a message from an extraterrestrial intelligence that we realized was a set of instructions for how to build a machine or a biologic, would we build it? Someone, surely, would do so.

All of us make mistakes in things we write or figures we calculate. But at least they're our mistakes. Auto-correct catches minor typographical stumbles but introduces errors that garble the meaning or embarrass the person who wrote it. That's AI.
