Redshark's tracker easily disproves the lie that tariffs are paid by other countries. For example, a new Panasonic camera that launched in December at $499 is now $699 in the US...and still at the launch price elsewhere in the world.

Stay updated on price increases for camera and video equipment in the US due to tariffs, with key examples from major brands like Panasonic, Sigma, DJI, and more.

This is beyond unacceptable. It is horrific. I would hope anyone of any political persuasion would think it is simply wrong. Contact your representatives. Repeatedly. This isn’t just un-American, it is immoral.

President Trump is hosting Nayib Bukele, the president of El Salvador, at the White House. The nation is holding Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was wrongly deported from the U.S.

So any mention of something good a non-white person does makes that accomplishment a DEI event? Only white people should be celebrated? The racism at the core of the Trump administration’s anti-diversity crusade is clear.
Arlington National Cemetery stops highlighting some historical figures on its website
Articles, photos and videos that are seen as promoting DEI will be removed under the new approach.

This is why funding “soft power” things like Voice of America is important. If we are not out there being a beacon of good and broadcasting American values then we leave a vacuum that will be filled by others with their own agendas. It is an investment, not an expense.

Watching the Four Nations game between Canada and the US. They make a plea to respect the anthems of both nations. The crowd loudly boos the US national anthem. Then the singer lets the crowd sing Canada’s anthem and the arena fills with sound. Our closest ally. Is this really what Trump wants?

This seems to be how he deals with everything. “No, I didn’t go and I have no experience with it, but I am going to replace them all with me because I can do whatever it is better than everyone.” The hubris and lack of self-awareness reeks of old rich white man privilege.

Reporter: Have you seen any shows there?

Media friends - I’m teaching a newly-created introductory editing class this semester. I’m looking at different editing styles, with different editing projects. We just did a narrative scene (what they’re most used to seeing) and will next look at a commercial, a music video, and a documentary.

Foreign aid is roughly 1% of the US budget. We are a rich country, and our good fortune not only helps others but it strengthens our standing in the world. Until we stop helping…stop being the good neighbor. Then we let others gain favor and their views have more sway. And we diminish who we are.

Do you think Musk's targeting of USAID is prompted from the organization being a strong influence on the dismantling of Apartheid in South Africa? I mean - the mission of USAID is to help developing countries recover from disaster, escape poverty, and move to democratic principles. All good things.

Musk spent more than a quarter billion dollars on the past election. I know it sounds like an old grandpa saying “Well, back in my day…” but there did use to be limits on what a person (and later a company) could spend on a campaign. Now Musk has bought the presidency, and he feels he can wreck it.

This isn’t accurate. Colombia didn’t want their citizens shackled in military transports. It wasn’t about accepting them back - they’ve been doing that for years - it is about treating them as human beings. Once the countertariffs were announced Trump acquiesced and regular air travel is being used.

This is one of those times where I don’t know what to do. This seems like something for which our institutions have clear delineations of authority. How can a simple citizen make some kind of impact? I don’t want to be on the sidelines, watching as power is stolen. How do we help fight this?
