chrisandmarkuk from Twitter. Hello!
Finished Wicked yesterday. Took half the book to get into it but loved it after that. I’ve started an old 90s horror upstairs but can’t remember what it’s called - The Walkers or something like that. It’s not very good tbh but at least it’s a thin book… 🤦🏻‍♀️

This was a very good read - Cry To Heaven by Anne Rice.

Based on the Italian castrati, something I don’t know much about and super-interesting. A bit overly wordy, but this is Anne Rice after all, fab story and characters. #BookSky

Had a lovely weekend in Chipping Norton, enjoyed it so much we booked the hotel for another weekend at the end of the month as we left!

Such a chill part of the country, it probably makes me officially middle aged but… just beautiful.

Sweet moment in A&E yesterday. I finished my book and noticed a lady who was about 10 pages to the end of hers. As we were called in I offered her the book as I’d been planning to leave it anyway. Found ourselves in the same room an hour later and she gave me her finished book. 😊

My Nan died in the 90s, I half lived with her and when she died all her ornaments and stuff went to mum and dad who never really put them out so I forgot about them. Anyway, dad died years ago but mum died last year and suddenly I have all these (tiny) old ornaments that I remember as a kid!

And it’s done - reclaimed slabs so doesn’t look amazing yet but thank god that mud/stringy grass/moss has gone!

(Feel a bit of a hypocrite as I’ve been seen telling people not to slab over grass but bloody hell Luna, we’ve been trying with this garden for TEN YEARS).

They’re not due until Wednesday to be fair. My annoyance is with my fella who ‘prepared’ the garden about two months ago.

I’ve done a fair bit of reading trashy novels recently, which no one wants to hear about but read these two excellent books during Black History Month.

Samba in the Smethwick End is fabulous - football racism was revolting at the time these guys were playing. Interesting to read.

Cinema hot dogs are just the best.

The FNAF film is very good. 👍

Might have to remortgage the house tomorrow. 🫨

RIP Dave Courtney. I know, I know but I really liked what I saw of him. Like a tough knobber.

This is one of the funniest films I’ve ever seen (don’t think it was supposed to be a comedy).

Haha! There is! Fella is obsessed with ‘old lag’ prison stories on You Tube- I started picking books up in charity shops to try and entice him into reading something (he’s not a reader). Hasn’t worked but I find them FASCINATING. 😂

Nice (small) charity shop haul - couple of books and a GORGEOUS wooden pile of books.

Dead cheap, then I went into Morrisons and gave them all my money.

Someone gave me this Jamie Oliver cookbook yesterday, flicked through it this morning and the CHEEK of this bloke to tell poor people how to eat and fat people how not to. Many recipes need quail, asparagus, butter (funny enough he uses the word ‘knob’ a lot…)

Yet it’s still there for anyone to read but no right to reply at all. Very bad vibes.
