But not like this!
The right need to make their mind up about birth rates. Do they want couples to have more babies or do they want to punish people for having more babies?

These people who claim they bought their house for 57p in 1976 and it’s now worth £7m therefore mansion tax is unfair

You are wrong!

This is precisely why you should be taxed. This is unearned wealth through fortune of circumstances

Maybe just me but have beer prices stabilised over the past 6 months or so? Not “cheap” but paid £6.70 for a 5.5% pint of keg Porter from an Indy brewery in City of London earlier. German lagers coming in just over £6 mark

Perhaps Madri, Neck Oil and Guinness still going up everywhere🤷🏻‍♂️

If capitalists continue to squeeze jobs, have they thought what will happen when no one has any money to buy their products? Is next year’s dividend really more important than the breakdown in society which is coming in the next 5 to 10 years if this continues?

It was $1b it’s now $5b. Why appeasement never works since the goalposts always move

Not that this lawsuit is ever going to go anywhere but it’s time for BBC to draw a line under this now. Oh and maybe our government can politely tell Trump to F off
The Orange Geriatric Felonious Game Show Host can fuck right off with this.

Seriously, you would think he would have bigger things to be concerned about.

I’m not sure I can in good faith continue to use the BBC following their capitulation to the far right. Me no longer using their website isn’t going to make the slightest difference I know. Once Torygraph acolytes get hold of the BBC, the slow creep to fascism moves closer to a cliff edge

I agree the number of people out of work is too high but isn’t this a case where employees could be more flexible with remote working? Commuting is hard enough as it is let alone for those with mobility issues. Perhaps those with anxiety could contribute more at home? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Reeves pre election pledge not to raise income tax was foolish. Even if she only puts 1% on those earning over 75k, the right wing press will be telling all of us it’s a betrayal of ordinary people. The roundabout painters will then work themselves into a frenzy that they are the only ones impacted

Can’t say I noticed it being particularly dull here by October standards. Seen quite a lot of sunshine and showers but maybe it’s been different up north and UK as a whole
☀️The UK has had its dullest October in almost 60 years, according to provisional Met Office statistics.

🌡️Temperatures were above average

🌧 Rainfall was just below average, with much regional variation

Do white people just hate everyone? Only ethnic group which has an unfavourable view of every party. On the other place Farage fan boys would be all over the replies saying everything is against whites in this country 🤦🏻‍♂️

Why does society always have to be geared towards extroverts? And what’s wrong with reading things on a phone? It’s no different to reading a paper or book

Some people just aren’t comfortable having conversations with strangers. Perhaps they simply enjoy a quiet coffee www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Do Labour strategists not realise Reform only has 27%. Even if they managed to squeeze half their voters, which they obviously won’t, that would still only give them 30%. Appeasement was never going to be an effective strategy but this poll makes it even clearer
🚨 NEW | Greens at 16%, 1pt shy of Labour

➡️ REF – 27% (+1)
🔴 LAB – 17% (-3)
🔵 CON – 17% (-)
🟢 GRN – 16% (+1)
🟠 LD – 15% (-)

Eva occupies defenders in a way that Kroupi doesn’t which creates more space for our other threats like Semenyo. Kroupi is currently benefiting from all attention being on Semenyo

Am I oversimplifying? Yes absolutely but no more so than those already writing Eva off during this Kroupi purple patch

Amongst many good performances today, I thought both full backs and Adams were standouts. Truffert in particular looks a superb signing

Milos Kerkez is a good player. He took a little while to settle in at #afcb too. Liverpool fans need to remember he was voted by his fellow pros best LB in the PL last season. He looks a little lost at the moment but it’s more a Liverpool problem than a Kerkez problem

Where exactly will the RefUKers move to. They voted to ban themselves moving to Europe haven’t they forgotten?
'Get rid of the migrants or I'll become a migrant' is quite the argument
October 22, 2025 at 2:51 PM
Reform have been able to grow in spite of the FPTP system because their voters see Labour and Conservatives as the same. They don’t fear a Labour government anymore than a Tory as to them there is no difference. As a result they don’t need to consider tactical voting

I don’t particularly trust Ayoub Khan’s opinion on this matter but how naive of Starmer and Badenoch to not understand that an Israeli football club might actually have hooligans too.

Why is it impossible to have a serious debate on this issue?

Very hypothetical but at next election, Reform and Greens are largest parties. Both short of a majority but could get over the line with the support of Labour and Lib Dems, which option would they choose

I think I know what LD way go but I’d be really worried about Labour in this unlikely scenario!
October 13, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Keir Starmer is obviously shit. But he’s not as shit as Sunak and certainly nowhere near as shit as Johnson or Truss

Yet vast swathes of the country have been brainwashed by social media to think he’s the worst PM ever. I know Labour should be held to a higher standard than Tories but even so.

I guess I am reluctantly a white middle aged man now. I’m not remotely offended by Gary Neville’s comments because I know they are spot on. By the same logic, there’s no need for OAP remainers to be offended by comments directed at OAP Brexiteers
