definitely think that part of the reason why supermarkets gets so much criticism for profiteering is because their profit margins are relatively small. A company with larger profit margins wouldn’t need to put up prices every-time their costs go up, but supermarkets do have to

Aside from anything else I think creating a precedent where a large portion of the country feels like their votes don’t matter because they’re in a safe seat doesn’t do a great job of communicating the importance of voting and actually being responsible with it

But even with having the 3rd largest majority in the country now his seat was nominally conservative on current boundaries in 2019, and he nearly lost his seat in 2017. Which is a good example of how big swings can be now

I think I disagree here, I think I want the experience of watching my ship actually enter the atmosphere/ land each time because I find that sort of thing exciting (admittedly I’ve not played mass effect andromeda, or any mass effect really)

I’ve listened to audio books work with more than one narrator/actor, but it’s when there’s different pov characters and there’s still only one narrator/actor per chapter

Do think there’s a big issue of a lot of regulation being done by people who look at one side of the balance sheet, and don’t seem to understand the costs of regulation (especially when the costs are not financial)

Tbf it’s hard to measure because a lot of the 2019-2024 parliamentary business is busywork created by leaving the EU, or Covid stuff but I feel like outside of that the primary legislative achievements of that parliament are pretty thin and plenty of the manifesto was not achieved

Fragmentation also seems a poor metric for how PR like a system is, given that for most of its history the Federal Republic of Germany has been dominated by 2 big tent parties
