The GOP passed a budget that will eviscerate health care in rural areas. They delayed much of the impact for after the midterms, hoping the public will think any discussion of the impending collapse is hyperbolic.

Local reporters have a chance to do service journalism that'll make a splash too.

may every congressperson who voted for this bill never know peace

may they be disrupted every time they are in public

may they suffer the most extreme consequences that they have inflicted on their constituents

The interview comes on the heels of intensified scrutiny of Ms. Rachel, who has been accused of antisemitism by some online critics who take issue with her posts about Palestinian children.
Ms. Rachel doubles down support for children in Gaza
“It’s sad that people try to make it controversial when you speak out for children that are facing immeasurable suffering,” the YouTube educator said in a recent interview with Zeteo.

I’ve been calling my Congress represtnaives every week, and this morning, one of the staff sweetly/awkwardly said “see you!” as goodbye at the end lol. The same energy when I say “you too” to airline staff telling me to have a good flight

Great news for Freelancers working in the State of CA! The Freelance Worker Protection Act went into effect January 1, 2025. This law requires freelancers to be paid 30 days after completion of work for any job over $250, & gives them the ability to take legal action against clients who don’t pay.

So I’ve been calling all 3 of my gov’t reps about one issue basically every weekday.

This morning a staff picked up and asked for my name. I gave it and he said go ahead with my comment. I asked “wait, you don’t need my address or zip code?” He replied “Oh we already have you on file here.”

A free mobile app I used often before, during, and after wildfires is Air Visual to see when (and where) the air quality is safe to go outside on a walk for my mental health. It also has rough forecast for the next few days
