I have a passing interest in many things so I'm quite familiar with wikipedia-ing things. I have messed around with AI, wondering if using it's "search" feature would give me a more comprehensive summary of a topic and a good 80% of the 'sources' AI used was just fucking wikipedia anyways
Some of the anti-AI stuff feels a bit like when people would say "don't use Wikipedia as a source." It's just like anything else, a piece of information that you weigh against multiple sources and your own understanding of its likely failure modes
