I generally agree with this but the coalition that was more chill and friendly to heterodoxy in 2024 was the Democratic coalition
This is a big country — hundreds of millions of people — with just two parties.
Everyone ends up voting for a presidential candidate they disagree with about a lot of stuff.
Whichever coalition positions itself as more chill and friendly to heterodoxy will win almost by default.

There’s a bizarre perception when it comes to vaccines: either they’re 100% effective or not at all.
Why? Nothing is 100% effective. Seatbelts aren’t. Airbags aren’t.
These risk mitigation measures are accepted as effective, but not in all instances.
