So much this. We did homeschool, then virtual school, sacrificed holidays, and gave up so much to ensure that our kids' infections would be post-vaccination.

These people are vile.

To be clear, I doubt that biological licenses will be revoked, but the Covid-19 vaccines are obviously being used as a test case in restricting access and sowing doubt, which will result in lower vaccination rates and result in more preventable disease.

If you're wondering what to say in your comment, consider pointing out that the FDA assesses drugs for safety and efficacy.

Saying that something is safe for 65 and older and people with preexisting conditions but not healthy adults makes no sense.

And if it's efficacious, then it's efficacious.

Agreed, and the estimated rates of LC have a pretty big range depending on the study/how it's defined. But even a single digit percent risk is not really "low" if people are getting reinfected every 12-18 months.

It actually isn't because risk is cumulative.

I used to assume that anyone wearing a cloth or surgical mask was actively contagious, but after seeing the same few service workers wearing surgical masks, I think cost/poor public health communication are also contributors. I carry extra KN95s with me now for this reason.

No vaccine is 100% effective. Vaccines work as well as they do because of high uptake. America is going to FAFO, and our poor kids are going to pay the price.
