The husband and I watched Swingers after he listened to a podcast that mentioned it as capturing Los Angeles perfectly in the mid-90's, which was about the time we met and started dating. There was a pang of nostalgia seeing the L.A. of 30 years ago that's long gone.

L.A. is a Mexican-American city. The majority of the population is made up of racial and ethnic minorities. We are all happy living together and really do not want to see our friends, neighbors and families being terrorized by federal robo-cops. This is bullshit.

I don't know what kind of witchcraft Modern Bread and Bagel (100% gluten-free bakery) practices in their kitchen, but their bagels are the closest to wheat-based bagels I've ever had. I never thought I'd ever have a croissant again. I cried the first time I ate their chocolate babka.
