Mad Dog Vachon is still my spirit animal
I greatly prefer the older JGB/LOM stuff, but in my post-vaccination semi-fever state, this is nice.

High five! Madison used to be a destination.

Not only was Roy Clark very skilled at the guitar, he could run the show. However schlocky they were, I miss variety shows like this.

It's not that I will ever use this information, but I learned the phrase "envelope filter" by asking questions about Shakedown Street, knowledge is power!

Right, not for a long time. Eric Levy now tours with Night Ranger, believe it or not. I forget their names, but their replacements fit in well - middle-aged (probably) studio musicians who are happy to work out their chops with Fareed and Kai.

They are still playing shows, in limited fashion, look 'em up! I was lucky enough to catch them earlier this year.

It's one of those singularities that used to happen when they toured. The bummer about this vid is that Page is off camera, but it still works. Fishman leaning back starting at about 7:30 is primo.

I can't listen because I don't have an Apple account. If any one knows another way to get it, please and thanks.

Supporting contrast to your first sentence. I am a jack-of-all-trades, essentially, I don't have the time or budget to explore the problems I have beyond solving them.

When you get to the correct tool after futzing with something for longer than you should have, it's an epiphany.

I keep thinking about the concept of a "coaches' poll". I think that would rank certain bands higher based on technical proficiency, but don't attract as wide an audience. I'm thinking about bands like MMW, Steve Kimock Band, Garaj Mahal, etc. Maybe too much subjectivity.

So, we were born on the day that celebrates all of us that ain't saints! It always seemed appropriate to me.

In a suburb of Minneapolis, MN, but my parents moved away shortly after. I grew up Catholic, and maybe you know, maybe not, but Halloween is the eve of Nov. 1, an important feast day in their doctrine, All Saints Day. Nov. 2 is All Souls Day.

Are you fucking kidding me?!?

Today is also my birthday, and I also turned 54. No fooling!

Have a great day, pal!

I just ended it with Bumble. I only gave them money for the impression I was in the dating pool.
