According to a report released 6 months ago, 2/3 of SNAP recipients are either disabled, children, or over 60. Of the remaining 1/3, more than half worked within a month of receiving benefits, 74% worked within a year.

1. Most people on SNAP work.
2. They get it because their wages are so low.
3. SNAP is a subsidy for companies who don’t pay a decent wage.

I was in Shipshewana, Indiana a couple weeks back and arrived at an ice cream stand not long after a local high school cross country team that had run 9 miles to get there. Now *that's* powerful motivation! 🍦
