Unlike most, I’m glad we didn’t pad out our strikers with someone we didn’t plan for. We’ve been stuck with strikers like that in the past which have held us back and led to us giving them away / paying them off. The league is gone anyway and a few options would have been cup tied for the CL #afc

What is the point of trying to analyse a game of football when a referee does that?
I'm sorry, but you cannot convince me that's anything other than an utterly corrupt decision from an official who has done this to us before - AT THIS VERY GROUND.

This “above the ankle” thing seems like today’s made-up rule that will never ever get mentioned again.
Nobody can seriously think that’s a red card. Pat Nevin saying on 5 Live that the whole point of VAR is decisions like that. And this justification of above the ankle, plenty of those go without reds.

Don't think that could have gone worse. Out of the FA Cup, lost Gabriel Jesus to potentially serious injury, missed a load of chances, missed a penalty, played 30 mins of extra-time ahead of a North London derby, and the heartache of losing a penalty shoot-out.

Goodness that was painful. How did we manage not to score? Think if we played better but lacked the finisher. With one, we’d prob win that 4-2, but still, those headers man 🤦♂️ was never bother about the CC so it’s a shame that there is a second leg. 4 days rest before United! I do care about the FAC!

Considering the state of our matchday squads for most of this season, it’s pretty impressive that Arsenal are still within (relative) touching distance.
