It has unintentionally become a tradition of mine to listen to the Xmas special while wrapping gifts, and this year was the same - thanks!

You should release a soundtrack of the Xmas songs at some point…

Is the clipping in the top right/top left corners computed by the rover before upload, to reduce the amount of data that gets transferred?

I can imagine that working if the rover knew where it was / where it was pointing & had a DEM.

"How to handle toilet rats" seems like a name of a joke book title from a Fallout game

The 'God bless them, every one!' line is pretty perfect

To moderate things a little bit, the paper was not published in the more-prestigious journal Nature, but rather in Scientific Reports, an open-access journal with looser editorial standards, owned by Nature Portfolio (formerly known as Nature Publishing Group).

Still quite bad, but could be worse.

It's the stuff of 50s pulp sci fi books.

Is that a hillside crater in the top right quadrant?

I got this:

"ScienceBase, the catalog system supporting the National Map Downloader, is unavailable at this time probably due to an intermittent outage."

Somewhat funnily, the status page is broken for me too, and returns "Temporarily Unavailable":

Again with the both-siding a headline. If they had courage they’d have just said they were agog.

Ageispolis is easily among the best tracks he's ever done IMHO

So fish in the water get a vote but horses on Sable Island don't?

Doesn't seem fair

Makes you picture someone dressed like the monopoly man carrying a sign saying "we are the 99th percentile!"

Wrong way around, preserving the continuity of this game will be the straw that finally breaks the back of daylight savings time

This is to the best of my knowledge a real photo. Predates AI at least.

In image form, at least. The examples return a map but with some processing the traffic data could be isolated. Not sure in the numerical values can be fetched though

Regularly pulling traffic data from google's api for roads leading to ICE detention centres would give a data point that could be useful in corroborating other info about ICE activity

didn't know that was a thing but happened to do the same last week on a rainy day

Are the world series games being shown in some pubs in the UK?

And if so are the crowds rooting for the Canadians?
