Had an outrageously fun time putting together and playing this silly Hail, Caesar style game
A while ago, someone asked if gumption, moxy, chutzpah, childlike wonder and a certain je ne sais quois could ever be the stats in a ttprg.

Here at Six Planes, we said yes, yes they could. Welcome to the Golden Age of Hollywood and the wonder of da moviesh!

We need to teach people the difference between being uncomfortable and being unsafe. Because the discomfort of the safest people is endangering the most vulnerable, all day every day.

I fell into a rabbit hole about Turkmenistan recently, central Asia's hermit kingdom. Spinning golden idols do feature. And then I found out about Soltan Achilova. I think it's really cool that a super repressive regime is deeply fucking scared of one old lady who tells the truth.

Gutfeld: “We need to learn from the blacks. The way they were able to remove the power from the n-word word by using it. So from now on it’s: What up, my Nazi? Hey, what up, my Nazi? Hey, what's hanging, my Nazi?”

Kennedy: “Nazi, please!”

Gutfeld: “Thank God you did a hard ‘i’ there.”

Let's not forget to rag on the UK's deeply punitive immigration policies, not just maintained but deepened by Starmer's government.

And "voluntarily emigrate" the entire population. So it's completing the genocide, that's the plan, right?

Real conversation a student:
Me - "The Huguenots came from France"
Her - "Is France the same as Europe?"
Me - "Where is France?"
Her - "Paris?"

Obviously, Bibi wants to finish his genocide. October 7th became the pretense Israel had needed for decades to finally exterminate Palestine. America will be handmaid to the betrayal of Ukraine and total ruination of Palestine. The world order we knew is over, if it ever existed at all.

No, this would not have saved Veilguard. Retaining the staff who made earlier games a success and never having wasted time on live-service dev before an unwieldy pivot to boxed product would've saved Veilguard. Baffles me how these dudes seem pathologically incapable of learning the right lessons!
"To break out beyond the core audience, games need to directly connect to the evolving demand of players who increasingly seek shared world features and deeper engagement alongside high-quality narratives" EA's CEO has said, post Dragon Age: The Veilguard. bit.ly/3Q52rAP

Dev team after dev team have met the axe of incompetence
Why do video games cost so much to make these days? A recent NYT article pinned bloated budgets on the graphical arms race, but that's only a small part of the equation. The real problem? Rampant mismanagement.

This week's column is a spicy one: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
Why So Many Video Games Cost So Much to Make
Graphical fidelity is only part of the reason that game budgets have swelled to hundreds of millions of dollars

Marc Andreessen sucks, is a ghoul, is a man who shouldn't be by the levers of power but he will be. All of these big tech guys have no morals, ethics, or principles and somehow we allowed them to take over the world.
Why Marc Andreessen was 'very scared' after meeting with the Biden administration about AI | TechCrunch
What scared him most was what some said about the government’s role in AI, and what he described as a young staff who were “out for blood. ”
