Riding bikes and painting along the way
A nice leisurely route yesterday - we biked the Little Sugar Creek Greenway up to Midtown, then came back through Dilworth and picked up bike route 2 off Ideal Way/Park Rd. Took that to the end by Starclaire greenway entrance. Bike route 2 > crowded Sat on greenway!!

That was the exact route I took today to Camp North End. Then I headed to Free Range on North Davidson crossing the Matheson Bridge. Gorgeous day to be out on a bike today.

What’s your fave route to ride to @campnorthend? From uptown. I cut through the cemetery (follow the marked bike route!) then Johnson, Polk, Callahan to Statesville. On the return, I’ll take Oaklawn to Spring. I went Thursday to sketch the water tower.

I want to make a personal request to those of you who use a bike for transportation purposes to start taking more photos and posting them.

You can do so much by showing even the most mundane errands with a bike to educate and inspire others. They're often more effective than words. 📸

Let’s ride bikes together in Charlotte
As “buy-stuff season” looms, skip the ear warmers and fancy headlight gifts for your cycling friends.

They already impulse bought those last week.

What do they really want?

You
On a bike
Riding with them

Because no gadget beats shared miles, bad jokes, and pretending hills aren’t that steep.

🚜👷‍♀️🚧 Construction Detour:
Little Sugar Creek Greenway at the Metropolitan (Charlotte) is closed by the residential tower project. There are signs that take you through Midtown Park and along Kings Drive. Use caution on the sidewalks! This is not intended to be long term. Bye skyline view!
