The coil replacement will probably be cheaper than a good replacement pot. 💸

Looks like you had an intense electric arc in action between the coil & the pot, caused by short circuit. Chaotic cooking with superheated plasma. 😱⚡ Glad you're OK!

I had to stop using my old rice cooker b/c the cord insulation was worn through to the point that I could see smoke & sparks.

They say that the MRNA vaccines for COVID are too new. Fine. But to be hesitant about MMR vaccines introduced in Canada around 50 years ago? Deny their kids the very same protection they received themselves as infants, just because some stranger on FaceBook scared them? Give me a break!

Love this golden sunrise & the photo you posted on X I saw yesterday of the double rainbow through the stone portal. I'm only still on X because a couple people I regularly interact with are still on there. But their lack of prompt support for your lockout fits the broken state of that platform.

If I ever take up travel, even in a limited capacity, I'd definitely want to visit Fiji, see where my mom grew up.

Sure do! My grandma had them on the wall above the shoe rack in the entrance foyer, just before the staircase. My mother's side of the fam immigrated from Fiji in the early '70s so they also had Fijian tribal souvenirs like these:

My maternal grandma's appliances were all avocado green and the kitchen floor looked sort of like this. Early '70s 'Vancouver Special' type suburban home in East Van.

Those appliances lasted forever.

Original take on the Snow Queen! But because of the Frozen merch juggernaut, little girls choosing Snow Queen will from now on be dressing more like this forevermore. 😄

The autumnal aura is strong with this post!

I'm convinced that if squirrels had sapient intelligence, their mason jar storage technology would be incredibly advanced. Hoarded food contained within would be immune to entropy & endure freshly for millennia in stasis.

Residents of Genoa City drink throughout the day. I counted 2 standard drinks apiece for Daniel & Tessa - 1 in the jazz lounge, 1 upstairs. Blurs the lines of consent with soap opera romantic encounters.

Daniel,

Were I in your position with these cookies & their accompanying aroma, I would foresee a 100% chance of midnight snacking.

The belief in the security of these doors must truly be at a religious level for those few riders who casually lean back against them.

Were I utterly unafraid of heights I suppose I could be a carboniferous femerell prestidigitator (chimney sweeper).

That's impressive. I had to limit myself so I can enjoy dark chocolate hobnobs & peppermint tea right now. 😄

I bulked out my 4:00 am breakfast with an oatmeal raisin cookie. 😋
