Sure do! My grandma had them on the wall above the shoe rack in the entrance foyer, just before the staircase. My mother's side of the fam immigrated from Fiji in the early '70s so they also had Fijian tribal souvenirs like these:

My maternal grandma's appliances were all avocado green and the kitchen floor looked sort of like this. Early '70s 'Vancouver Special' type suburban home in East Van.

Those appliances lasted forever.

Original take on the Snow Queen! But because of the Frozen merch juggernaut, little girls choosing Snow Queen will from now on be dressing more like this forevermore. 😄

Still on X formally known as Twitter, & just encountered one of many misleading quack 'therapies' designed to separate the gullible from their money/life. Inhaling CO₂ through a device. Placing one's head in a plastic bag would accomplish the same thing at minimal cost.

☝️ Please DON'T do that.

Not certain if he passes the mirror test but he does know it is a solid object.

"Don't take Tylenol." - President DJT

I'll just be hanging onto mine, thanks.

NOT A SPOILER: Just watched yesterday's episode of Y&R (Canada airs 1 episode ahead of US). Longtime viewers know that Victor Newman often says, among other quotes:

"YOU GOT THAT?!"

to his offscreen henchmen & informants. Well today, he said the phrase to his darling wife Nikki's face. 🤣

The woman loves her sequins & it's too bad these didn't have some utility in a forcible confinement situation. 😄 Next time she can go full raver with obnoxiously bright flashing LED bracelets/necklaces & glowsticks. The constant cycling of colourful light would draw someone's attention.

Not in person, but through the magic of the Internet! And yet, home centres and flower shops here only tend to sell the 'typical' orchid.

It's great to find Irish cheeses popping up alongside English ones in a faraway western Canadian supermarket (Save-On-Foods). This cheese that comes out of County Limerick is quite addictive IMO, and nearly as good is the fact that it doesn't bother my lactose intolerance.

This aerial photo of the wildfires threatening the western Manitoba community of Flin Flon looks almost apocalyptic from this vantage. It must look like a vision of Hell to the brave crews on the ground who have so far contained these fires. There's a chance of rain so fingers crossed.

I'm especially drawn to flying the small ships for long haul exploration missions. The agility of such craft makes them a pleasure to fly, but also the awareness that only a thin barrier of canopy glass stands between you & the infinite void, is especially pronounced in small ships.

Will have to find new places to buy socks, denim, undershirts, belts, etc. End of an era.

The fourth floor with all the mannequins for sale was quite surreal to walk through!

They're down to selling fixtures & props, but there's still a decent amount of stock left on the sixth floor - men's.

Went for a final tour of the downtown Vancouver Bay store, just days from closing forever.

Memorials for the victims of the Lapu Lapu festival tragedy still going strong. There are calls in the community for a more permanent memorial.

This massive water world with 1.80x the gravity of Earth possesses an uncommon argon-rich atmosphere, whilst orbiting an L-Class brown dwarf that gives it a dusty mauve hue. Discovered along the well-traveled direct route between the Bubble & Formidine Rift.

My grandparents ran a little corner store in '80s East Van. As far as being spoiled for candy by Grandma as a kid, that was like the ultimate tier. But whenever she visited our place she'd always have White Rabbit candies in her purse, or Rockets.
