Today's final approval of the North West Shelf is a climate, economic, and energy security disaster.

Australia Institute analysis shows the 45-year expansion is equivalent to building 12 new coal power stations.

No govt that actually cares about climate change would do this.

We'll expel an ambassador from one country based on secret 'credible evidence'; but not the ambassador of another country openly committing a genocide.

Tell me our government is compromised without telling me our government is compromised.

On LBC @zoejardiniere.bsky.social lists 3 previous instances where military aircraft have been targeted by campaigners in order to prevent them being used in war crimes, and she describes the govt banning Palestine Action as terrorists as an abuse of state power.

Well said.

Sanctioning the messenger is not an appropriate response to the horrific genocide in Gaza. Sanctioning Israel is the correct response.

An excellent explainer of the restrictions we now face in NSW to peacefully protest. It begs the question, why are our elected representatives so scared of the public they are supposed to be serving?

Somebody needs to have a stern word with the oceans about the importance of gas as a transition fuel.
July 6, 2025 at 8:40 AM
Just watched Seaspiracy on Netflix. I learned many things like there is no such thing as sustainable fishing, there is no dolphin-safe tuna and that most of the ocean's plastic waste is as a result of the fishing industry.

I shan't be buying fish anymore.

The Environment Minister Murray Watt will approve the 50-year extension of one of the world’s biggest fossil fuel projects, Woodside's North West Shelf.

Along with releasing 4 billion tonnes of emissions, this decision will result in $215 billion worth of gas given away royalty-free. #auspol
