Understood. It was just a thought exercise if the Greens and Teals wanted the balance of power, how they might do it. As a voter, I might consider tactical preferencing if I thought it could influence the balance of power.

An interesting question then arises as to which seats to tactically preference against the ALP in, without inadvertently giving the coalition + RW indies a majority?

This is an argument for optional preferential voting. It is too easy for one party to achieve a majority from a low voter base. As it stands, for many Greens & Indy voters wanting a x-bench with the balance of power, tactical preferencing against the ALP in some seats might seem worthwhile.
