I think we are living in a societal revolution similar to that of the Reformation and the Gutenberg press. Technological utopia is our vision for a new society and we are transforming at a dizzying pace. Hard to keep up.

The last edits (hopefully) for Speaking in Tongues: A Critical Historical Examination, Volume 3, the Tongues of Corinth, were submitted over a week ago. Phew! What a lot work. This book should help you understand what Paul thought about this rite, and how interpretations changed over time.

I prefer manually-coding some html code for my WordPress blog. Woe to Gutenberg for erasing my <p> code and leaving nothing in its wake and not telling me. Gutenberg is not the goat it is bloat.

I have been exploring the Technological Utopia ideology -- the thought that private enterprise with its technological solutions, can do better than any government has achieved. Technology will solve economic disparity, social imbalances, better health, and increase lifespan. Hmmm.....

If Google AI was a person, it would be a neo-liberal agnostic who likes to read the New York Times or the like, influenced by populist thought, and doesn't quite get the nuances and minute details.

I set up a new Wordpress site this past weekend and it automatically generated two articles by AI. They were well written and drawing from popular thought found on ranking websites. It was writing for what people want to hear and reinforcing majority opinion.

I think the Canadian Government's overlooking Gig work jobs which bypass labour laws and paying income tax by pretending their employees to be independent contractors is going to leave the middle and working class much poorer.

"The Unconscious Civilization" by John Ralston Saul is one of my favourite books. Although it was written in the 1990s, he clearly understood where Canadian society was heading and the pitfalls confronting it. A must read for anyone who wants to understand Canadian politics and society.

Myself and 55,000 employees of Canada Post are on strike again. Sucks. A result of failed Government policies, poor business plans where all blame gets diverted to employee labour costs, and a Union stubbornly grieving the erosion of rights and respect for the working class in Canadian society.
