I lost the plot again. It's been like this for 20yrs with this stry. Since I started posting on Bluesky I've been on a line edit of the original 32k words. I only managed maybe 500 new words before I pooped out a few weeks ago.

Haven't touched my story in like, a week. Feels like I lost the thread again. I managed to kick off the next chapter/scene/phase of this book, but I hit a little wall, got distracted by real life and I'm struggling to get back on the horse again and just write :(

It occurs to me that while I'm a lifelong fan of Superheroes, I'm not a fan of actual comic books. While I enjoy seeing the occasional panel posted in my feeds, I have no urge to pick up a book and read it.
For me, the characters and the stories, not the art, compels me.
Novelization is my goal.

A #writers thread here stopped me cold. "Avoid exposition at all costs." Was advice given.
My book is riddled with it.
I've always envisioned the story as starting "near the end" & flashing backwards as a way of introducing the characters.

After +/-25 years of fits & starts #writing this novel (Superhero fiction) I've completed the 5th? 6th? round of revisions on things like sentence structure, dialogue & fixes. About 29,400 words, I think I'm half way there in the story. Feeling more confident about this book than I have in years.

I've had the opening scene of my book for so long now I can't imagine changing it. Except there is a flashback/exposition scene later in Ch1 for one of the main characters that could serve as an opening too; the book is primarily about him
