We're in the UK Sunday Times! Our Co-chief Tina van de Flierdt discusses the critical science we hope to achieve this season, and her experience living in a deep field drilling camp on the Ross Ice Shelf last season. Paywalled, sorry, but check it out if you can! 🧪 www.thetimes.com/article/43b0...

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all."

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Participants in Denver's basic-income program reported having more-secure housing, though results were similar in the trial and control groups.

FBI, if you’re listening: do your job.
Anonymous, if you're listening: We could really use those ethics reports on Matt Gaetz that forced him to resign from Congress rather than risk their release.

next level hero shit.
Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

The more I think about it, the more I’m disturbed about this photo.

We should transfer power. It is our constitutional responsibility, but we do not have to normalize him.

I have no idea what Biden is thinking with this photo op. He is normalizing fascism.
