The Nurse Practitioner Association of Ontario joined us at Queen’s Park and I had the chance to sit down with some nurse practitioners, including Jessica Romeo from Ottawa West–Nepean, to discuss improving funding models and better integrating NPs into our health care system.

Today, the government just voted to end debate and skip public hearings on Bill 33, shutting out parents, educators, and students from having any say. Our voices matter. Our schools matter. But it's not too late to take action: email the Premier and demand he withdraw Bill 33. #onpoli #onted

The Ontario Autism Coalition, Community Living Ontario, ETFO, and countless parents have spoken out: special education is in crisis. Chronic underfunding continues to fail children with disabilities. The Minister of Education needs to fund our schools and protect our students.

This government is paying unelected school supervisors up to $350,000 a year to replace democratically elected trustees and they won’t even respond to parents or communities. Ontarians deserve transparency, not government appointees hiding from accountability.

This Minister of Education can pretend he doesn’t understand how funding cuts work but the facts don't lie. When you don’t fund education at the same rate as inflation and enrollment growth, that’s a cut. It’s that simple. Ontario students deserve real investment, not partisan spin.

The closure of the AAADD program at Algonquin is a huge loss for adults with developmental disabilities who deserve access to post-secondary education. For just $80K a year, this govt could keep this vital program. Ottawa’s young people shouldn’t lose their right to learn.

The Minister of Education thinks local democracy exists at his command, to be taken away when he feels like it. Bill 33 would shut parents’ voices out of our schools, but we deserve a say in the decisions affecting our kids. The Minister needs to respect parents and withdraw bill 33.

The Ontario Autism Coalition has been fighting for years while this government fails to act. Over 60,000 children are still waiting for help while families are breaking under strain. Every delay is another child left behind. Enough is enough.
