Never shared some research from last year where I and some amazing colleagues refined our understanding of Russula subsection Xerampelinae and described 3 new species! www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1...
Three new species in Russula subsection Xerampelinae supported by genealogical and phenotypic coherence

Just published one of my dissertation chapters assessing lead (Pb) contamination and associated effects on fungal communities in spruce-fir forest of the southern Appalachians Mtns: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/.... In short, increased soil Pb was associated with declines in ECM fungi.
Historical Lead Contamination Linked to Atmospheric Deposition is Associated With Declines in Ectomycorrhizal Diversity and Shifts in Fungal Community Composition
Ectomycorrhizal and saprotrophic fungi respond differently to changing edaphic conditions caused by atmospheric deposition. Within each guild, responses can vary significantly, reflecting the diversi...

If you don't share, you can't educate.

Educate me.

Share a fact with me. I like science and nature, but it can be about anything, as long as it's true. (Please don't try to be clever. By which I mean sarcastic. Thanks.)
