I recently bought myself a higonokami, and I am SO IN LOVE with it! I carry it everywhere now. It’s like having a tiny samurai sword in my pocket! 😍

Good people! I have a female Argiope aurantia who’s been entertaining the attentions of several males for several days. This morning, one is still shooting his shot and another is already spun up in a web. There’s a third spider, dead and spun in a web, that looks way too big to be male. 1/

This thing is called “My Critter Catcher.” I live in the edge of a forest & share way more space than I like with my leggy brothers and sisters. Though it looks gimmicky, this thing actually works very well to humanely relocate spiders and other crawlies without getting uncomfortably close to them.

I live at the edge of a forest and this thing is one of the best purchases I ever made. We get large wolf spiders and a particularly huge fishing spider called Dolomedes tenebrosus inside from time to time and I don’t like to kill them but they can’t stay, but I also don’t like to get close!

This is amazing! The original is very special to our family… my daughter is a professional artist and she had one of her major life moments there!
