As it turns out, ICE only had an Immigration Warrant and not a Judicial Warrant—thusly, she was well within her legal rights to deny them access.
She’s since been released, but there is a rally at the MKE County Courthouse at 3 today & another at the FBI building at 3PM tomorrow.

The kids and I are revisiting the 1619 Project on this “Media Monday”.
Resistance comes in many forms… educating our kids and involving them in their world is important in school & at home.
Don’t try to hide from it. They’re seeing stuff in the media anyway, ask them what they think. Listen.

My son died 7/23/24. By 8/1/24… without an official death cert. even filed; his payments had ceased, they zeroed out his SSI Card Balance, and sent formal notification.
SSI is broken AF, but 💀 ppl aren’t getting benefits.
