For anyone just following me or seeing my feed — for the last 6 years I have been studying Latin & Latin literature (mostly poetry + Apuleius and some early vitae) as a hobby. For the past 3 or so years I have been studying Biblical Hebrew, and for the last year or so, Akkadian and Sumerian.

It is truly astounding how many sumerian inscriptions are simply lost in some archive somewhere. Something like 80% of the royal inscriptions in Hayes are missing even a photograph of location of the original.
