Main issue I'm having with a cuneiform tool is segmenting a line drawing correctly. I have something that works pretty well for segmenting horizontally but it's imperfect and vertical segments will be very tricky or impossible (but perhaps unnecessary)

this is really one of my favorite passages I've read in any ancient text.

My all-time favorite book is now Hayes' Manual of Sumerian Grammar and Texts

I am now in fact very much in love with Assyriology and Mesopotamian Literature (but also quotidian correspondence!) and especially its influence on Western literature (thanks to M. L. West)
