I know what you’re talking about.
I'm inventing a new term, "trust fatigue", but I haven't nailed down the definition yet.
I think there's a human tendency to want to put all your eggs in one basket in terms of who you trust, because making new decisions about who to trust is exhausting.

I’m the son of a Southern Baptist minister. I have witnessed how Christians keep women in their place. Including the fight against women being allowed to be pastors.
It’s within the last few years I’d say that Christians have ramped up their attacks on women in the guise of “protecting” them.
