Last year, the Board deemed Enbrel, Stelara and Cosentyx unaffordable for Coloradans. As the first state in the country to set an upper payment limit of this kind, Colorado is paving the way towards lowering Rx costs on the most expensive medications.

$2000 for medication ‼️ Amgen shouldn’t be asking patients to choose between their rent/mortgage, groceries and Enbrel. CO’s PDAB has the power to lower Rx costs so the patients with chronic arthritis and other immune disorders are able to afford it.

$4500+ per month!! Charging patients more than their rent or mortgage for a lifesaving medication is not right. CO’s PDAB has the power to reduce the cost of Enbrel so the patients who need this medicine are able to afford it.
August 7, 2025 at 8:22 PM
$10k per year ‼️ Colorado’s Prescription Drug Affordability Board has the power to lower how much Enbrel costs, but Amgen, Enbrel’s manufacturer, is doing everything in its power to stop Colorado from doing it. We can't let Big Pharma win.

CSP joined with other community organizations to support the Prescription Drug Affordability Board. Right now, Colorado patients on average spend $4,638 per month on Enbrel. We urge PDAB to set meaningful limits that ensure patients who need Enbrel can afford to access it.

Wishing you and your family a happy 4th of July!

Rx medications don’t work if people can’t afford them. Our Prescription Drug Affordability Board says Coloradans spend on avg. $4,638 on Enbrel every year. That’s too much – CO patients need our PDAB to lower drug prices NOW!
