Imagine my surprise when I saw where this van driver had parked. (Yes, he wasn't turning. This is where he left his van). It inconvenienced:
1) a man pushing his kid in a pushchair trying to get by
2) a neighbour who is registered blind
3) me

Interesting how people are going to museums to see where the heist happened and to be shouted at. This made me laugh today - from Edith Pritchett's 'New items at the Louvre gift shop' www.instagram.com/p/DQRwUbDiO3...

Southwark council rules allow tenants to reclaim rent on unlicensed properties. Wonder whether Reeves will have to refund her tenants their £38k? (Source: FT)

I can't help it. This is what I got when I asked about Helen and Dane. They paired her up with Dan Hebden-Lloyd. And said she's very resilient and able to handle difficult circumstances. I'm going to stop now I need to do stuff this afternoon 😆 #TheArchers

😆No worries.
Look at this though. The Google AI overview of the Archers is absolutely terrible

This is great - the historic Calstock Ferry has been revived. It's solar-powered, and goes from Ferry Farm on the Devon side of the Tamar across to Calstock in Cornwall, as well as upriver to Gunnislake along a bit of river seldom seen as it's so inaccessible calstockferry.com

"Why every brand looks like this now"
Jon Rowlandson nails what's going on at agencies these days and I wonder whether that could go some way towards explaining the University of Warwick debacle.

LGW's 2nd runway is being presented as 'a victory for holidaymakers' by the govt today. But only yesterday, the Climate Change C'ttee (that advises govt) said prices would have to go up to put people off flying and thereby keep emissions in check. A victory for rich holidaymakers then?

Happy Valentine's Day @nsandihelp.bsky.social 💌The proportion of UK adults who has never married or entered a legally registered partnership has increased from 26.3% in 1991 to 37.9% in 2021 (Source: ONS). But look at your security questions! (You have to select 3) 🩷 💐

Fans of a third runway at LHR often argue we need more capacity for air freight, but this graph shows a trend for less cargo tonnage. Why do we need this third runway? Who is it for, exactly? (Source: CAA Aviation Trends Q3 2024)

‘Please don’t hit me’ - you’d think this was a plea to car drivers from cyclists, right? No, it’s the Guardian setting cyclists against each other, with the sell ‘the battle between ebikers and other cyclists' and it's number 4 in their most viewed #activetravel

Another interesting book from the tube station Free Shelf. Interior design for bedrooms. Have you ever thought about using a 48-sheet advertising poster as wallpaper? Me neither
