Confiscating jewellery from survivors of a war zone makes you look like a fucking Nazi. And the obscene thing is, that is the intention. It's there to look appropriately harsh. Indecent. Filthy. A moral stain. And no-one of good character would have ever proposed such a thing in the first place.

Over the next few months I’m going to revisit the cities/areas where I took the photos for the Outsiders project to see if we can reconnect with some of the participants. We did this in York last year with some success. Will also look at documenting some of the tent encampments as an update.

Buckle up - because this now amounts to a direct and deliberate attack on our country and its cultural sovereignty. Which side our politicians take - Trump's or the BBC's - over the coming days and weeks will speak volumes about their patriotism.
Trump says he will sue BBC for at least $1bn over Panorama edit
The US president confirmed he intends to sue the broadcaster for at least $1bn over the Panorama edit of a 2021 speech.

UK Politics has taken on an almost Sisyphean turn this week & who better to highlight the mess than @pecksniffsdiary.bsky.social .
The PM insists all's well at No. 10 while others speak of a coup...

So who is calling the shots at No. 10 or even the BBC for that matter?

Meanwhile Reform's vigilantes are out in force, Farage fumes & Jaywick tops deprivation list.

Pecksniff has so much to write about...

200 diaries on & @pecksniffsdiary.bsky.social is still questioning all things & characters political. As for describing #Farage as "aggrieved platypus" it's a stroke of genius. Some hope this week with the #Mamdani success.
- Mamdani’s radical win gives Labour and Greens a wake-up call... but will the winds shift here?

- Lib Dems celebrate by-election wins

- & the v rich Farage worries a £10 per hour min wage for young people is too high..

The 200th edition 🥂🍻 of Pecksniff's Diary is packed with this & more...
