40 this year, and feeling more comfortable in my vessel than maybe I ever have. (And I'm definitely the hot one of my sisters.) I am finally myself, finally out of fucks to give about being who I am. And when I, at least, reach my crone years, may the gods have mercy on all our souls.

My friend Kat decided they needed something to do with their hands. So they took up whittling.

They made this as their first project. Isn't it gorgeous?

We need to make things with our hands. We need to be creative, to toss aside AI and just fill the world with who WE are.

I embroidered this by hand! Someday I'll do it again, and incorporate all the techniques I've learned since the original. (I'd show the project I'm working on right now, but it sort of looks like a vulva atm.)

Oh hey! My little town had its Pride Parade today. My wife helped out and had a great time. I couldn't go (my body hates me today) but they had a great turnout for the parade and festival! And then we have a drag show tonight!

So of course, when my wife got home, she adorned Luna in Pride gear.

I'm kind of between books right now? I have a stack sitting beside me on the couch, and theoretically I'm supposed to choose one today. But The Depression has me and it's hard to take pleasure in things, even reading.

Fuck it. I picked up Daisy Pearce's SOMETHING IN THE WALLS. Going for it.

Look at that floof monster!!! THAT TUMMY. I'm reminded of the video (from someone whose name I don't remember, sorry) that said "if you're not huffing your cat, what are you even doing?" Just bury your face in their fur and breathe it in.

Here's my floof monster for tax.

I embroidered this handkerchief for a friend, and wove a spell to protect them while they travel. (They love to live minimally and use the savings to travel the world.) Only 14 more hankies to make. #craftsky

My little black cat, Luna, is just the best kitty. I've been having a terrible day. Five solid minutes of her crooning to her toy mouse as loudly as she can, putting it in her mouth and dropping it at my feet? My heart is melted, and all is right with the world. Thanks, little girl. #cats

My latest embroidery project turned out pretty solid, all things considered. And then I was able to learn how to back the hoop and sew felt on to protect it. Maybe I'll learn this craft yet, who knows. (This is how I'm coping with *gestures wildly at everything*)
