three years ago I painted a copy of Betrayal at Calth, donated it to sell on Ebay to raise money for Ukraine. It ended up going for about $500. I gave the Ultramarines Ukrainian flag shields. You can guess who the Word Bearers represented. #SlavaUkraini #warhammercommunity #horusheresy

at their worst, the Heresy novels were grinding bolter-porn where any scraps of hope are ruthlessly crushed out, and characters moved around like game pieces. At their best, it was as gripping and exciting as anything I've ever read, with characters I truly cared about, like my new fave Sanguinius

So just finished End and the Death Pt 3. And I realized that Leetu's unpainted silver armor is a reference to an unpainted mini: the LE2 original Space Marine made by Citadel in 1985. As an in-universe prototype Astartes. That kind of subtle in-joke pleases me immensely #oldhammer #siegeofterra
