We have former AWS employees and people with masters in CS on the call! I don't need to know what this thing "thinks" when it got it wrong the first time.

I was on a call the other day and we were discussing the best way to implement some code, because the coworker who did it with AI did it poorly. He was like "here is what the AI says we should do" and I got so mad I had to mute.

It just feels like a waste of everyone's time honestly

It was written with "help from AI", they were very upfront about that

Is it bad faith to say AI isn't useful for software development if a study backs it up? This is consistent with my personal experience as well.

Exclusively AI! I don't want to give away much more but it also feels so out of character for my company, which I otherwise really like. But really how can you have a climate pledge and simultaneously say AI use is mandatory, everyone knows that doesn't work

I don't use ChatGPT but my company mandates use of other AI programs. It's awful. They literally but out a document that says if you bring up ethical concerns about AI you will be put on a PIP
