It's a one-year role for $70k and full benefits, very low teaching load, and you help organize a humanities lecture series.

AND you get to join a truly vibrant community of humanities scholars - I can attest to the fact that being part of the WHC is a joy.

The issue is not Democrats disagreeing with one another, it’s Democrat leadership being incapable of behaving as though they have spines and immediately betraying their electorate every single time an opportunity for strength and meaningful action presents itself!

also if you're planning on driving and you're not going to Skye, Applecross is unbelievably beautiful. if you aren't driving, taking the train through Fort William and up to Mallaig is absolutely worth it, as is taking a ferry from there over to Shieldaig to explore for the day!

food spots: Lucky Yu, Bodega, Dishoom (a perennial favorite - try the breakfast upstairs if you can!), The Palmerston, Lannan Bakery (there's often a line tho), Stockbridge Market, IJ Mellis

main tip: if you're planning on doing lots of touristy stuff stay in old town, but otherwise stay in Leith. half the price and much hipper area, plus trams make it super easy to get to town. Nauticus was my local, it's got easily the best cocktails in Edi while maintaining an old-man-pub atmosphere

Are you looking for research tips or touristy tips? I lived in Edi for the better part of a decade!
