I love intro posts so here goes! I’m Cianna, an editorial assistant and lifelong nerd. I work primarily with middle-grade and YA titles, I have one cat named Howl (and he lives up to his namesake), and I love TV, movies, theatre, basically all art forms.

as a lapsed Catholic, the death of Pope Francis is both incredibly sad and tragic, considering the dangerous times we are in and this Pope’s unflagging bravery. I hope he was welcomed with open arms at the gates. I hope he continues to watch over us. ashes to ashes, dust to dust. 🕊️

It's absurd that they are showing US folks the wrong name for the Gulf of Mexico & everyone else in the world the right name. That's not how ocean names should work.

I’ll be painfully honest about this because I don’t know how else to be: while I really do welcome statements like “if they can penalize queer authors, they can penalize romance authors!” I wish with all my heart that the penalization of queer authors had been enough of an industry-wide crisis point
