Snazzy, no?
It's another mock-up of official assets... but it's looking pretty good, isn't it?

How do you fuck up the pronunciation of a game YOU NOMINATED this badly?

It pronounces it for you when you boot the game!

It's hard to describe the loss of Rebecca Heineman. Forty years as a prodigy programmer in the gaming industry. One of the most prominent trans women in the industry. Personally trained the team who developed the Xbox 360. Thank you for everything you've given us. Rest in peace, Burger Becky. 🕯️

Rebecca was one of the founders of Interplay and programmed & designed for some of the most influential games of my youth, notably Bard's Tale I & III and Wasteland. She will be missed.
My trailblazing game industry bad-ass friend Rebecca Heineman has passed away.

Fuck cancer.

Friends, let’s not forget her: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebecca...

Burger Becky’s gofundme for cancer treatment is now for a funeral service.

To my knowledge we’ve not yet lost her, but she has announced that her doctors have informed her there is nothing more that can be done

Sometimes filling out the media thread takes a backseat to just watching something you love again.

That's how I was feeling tonight. Wanted to recenter and refresh myself by going back to the Doraemon movie that locked me into this franchise in the first place. Happy to say, it still shines.
162.5.) COMPLETE - Doraemon: Nobita and the New Steel Troops ~Winged Angels~ (rewatch)

After seeing 30 of them, I felt it was time to revisit the first Doraemon film I truly loved.

It's still amazing, even on rewatch. Big in scale, and emotionally satisfying. New Steel Troops just *is* that good.

Gundam AGE's biggest flaw is that its ideas were too big for its boots.

It crammed a 4-generation multilayered mecha story into a single year of anime, and it hobbled around with characters making illogical and abhorrent decisions because plot needed to happen.

It's 49 episodes of contrivance.
discovery tab showing me people talking about the "critical reevaluation of gundam age"

no, we are not reevaluating the Most Sexist And Doesn't Even Have The Excuse Of Being Made In The 80s Gundam Series, that ship sailed a long time ago.

If anyone said the game would be improved by taking Pauline out they'd be looked at like a mental patient.

I'm not so disingenuous to say that that bespectacled walking Funko Pop is no different, but I think people are quick to write off an entire idea wholesale when it's really the execution

It's just, I dunno, funny. Bananza has probably more voiced dialogue than every Mario game ever made put together. But Pauline is a charming character with fun dialogue brought to life by a phenomenal performance, and there were just... no complaints whatsoever.

The funny thing about this "tagalong expository character" discourse is that not a single soul complained about Pauline in DK Bananza

Nor should they have because it's all in execution

Just one time I would like to see a Sonic 06 fan defend the game without using a mile-high stack of hypotheticals.

Like, really challenge yourself. Defend the game *as it released*. Get creative, no hemming and hawing.

Just fucking go for it.

Rebecca's work is everywhere in this industry, and she deserves our support and our love.

I think it's fairly telling that out of the 30(!) Doraemon movies I've seen, the one I cannot get out of my head is New Steel Troops.

Maybe it's because it was among the first I saw? Even so, it really left an impact. It's a wonderful movie, shows how emotionally rich and exciting these films are.

Normally I would never be this dismissive but stock literally no system can run the HD texture pack because of horrible stuttering. None. They developed and released and they had to have known it was unusable; that's incompetence.
"there's a mod to decompress MH Wilds textures on PC to fix texture streaming because Capcom is incompetent"

cool maybe the HD texture pack won't stutter like mad
