Every time. You think, that’s it, there’s no way he could be more gross. But no, somehow he always manages it. Every single time.

one of the reasons they're so mad at "no kings" is that they thought they were going to get a different kind of protest. they *want* the black bloc to be out there fighting with the cops. those are the images they've been trying to generate from "go." instead--

MAGA Rage at “No Kings” Boils Over—and It Quickly Backfires on Trump
As Trump allies smear the coming protests, a good writer on MAGA skewers the absurdity of these attacks on large swaths of Americans—and explains why our best recourse will be to turn out in force.

They seldom ask what’s a man. They always ask what’s a woman, then demand we’re reduced to defining ourselves by parts of our bodies and their function.

Like we can’t see where that’s going. Like we haven’t been there.

I’m a woman, what would they know about everything I am.

The last political column I was allowed to write in the @washingtonpost.com was a criticism of Obama.

His people took issue with my piece, but we were respectful.

Now he is tweeting in support of me.

This is how free political speech and respect for debate *actually works*.

Or used to work.

That’s not only true, feels good to say/hear it, but we get pulled in the weeds with it anyway. The problem is the problem, the problem is not anyone calling it out. For some reason, though, we just can’t find our way to talk about the problem yet.

I'm just an ordinary First Amendment lawyer but I'm pretty sure you can't transform "protesting the president" into criminal activity by recharacterizing it as "inflicting harm on the United States."
Deputy AG Blanche: RICO is available to all kinds of organizations committing crimes and committing wrongful acts… So is it sheer happenstance that individuals show up at a restaurant where the president is trying to enjoy dinner and accost him with vile words?
