It's time to decide on a forever name for papercheck (scienceverse.github.io/papercheck/). We don't want it to be confused with papercheck.ai, and we plan to check other research artifacts like repo contents, data, code, and prereg. Any suggestions?

idk if this is a weird offer, but I’m really, really good at reading out linguistic experiment stimuli items, at an even pace, with no errors, with the prosody of your choice, in a very standard southern British English accent. If this would be useful to you let me know. #linguistics

For over a year in my spare time I've been trying to get an observational study on language at the very end of life off the ground, by recruiting folks in palliative care to see that it's doable and interesting. I've made a tiny bit of headway.

I spent so much time in undergrad taking classes that I thought would be *cool* rather than "useful", and I have gotten so much use from those classes because they helped me *think* better and differently.

I know I'm a weirdo like that, butI wish education was treated like this more often.

Funny that this only applies to manuscripts with a CC BY licence so there's nothing to stop you freely depositing the paper with a different CC licence including CC0.
WOW - how do these people lie straight in bed at night? IEEE is charging a 'Repository License Fee' (or should that be 'FEEE'?)
