I'll see your "'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles' Thanksgiving tradition" and raise you "Thankskilling."

OK, I'm not crazy. I was seeing this "If the president doesn't want to be called a Russian asset* perhaps he should stop acting like a Russian asset" post a lot.

(*which I, of course, mentally turn to "ass-hat")

All the while, cutting product quality (and keeping wages down) to ensure those profits keep rising.

Capitalism is a cancer.

Which "he" and what "that"?

And why hasn't this modern Bible, containing the relevant message of Jesus, been released?
November 22, 2025 at 6:31 PM
So you're completely retracting your "God's laws are written on every man's heart"?

You know why people say that? Evolution. Humans are social animals, and in a society certain behaviors are beneficial, while others are harmful. All societies have morality, with or without your god/Jesus character.
November 22, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Oh! Not done yet!

Well that's just your interpretation.

Lots of Christians interpreted all of your god's endorsement of slavery in the Old Testament and subsequent New Testament commands for slaves to obey their masters literally. Even made a guide on converting slaves to pacify them.
November 22, 2025 at 5:38 PM
I thought you said your god "wrote morality on every man's heart." No? 🤔

If the Bible is so relevant, then why is so much evil committed when people follow it... you know, evangelizing, colonizing, persecuting, owning people as property...

And let's not forget who inspired Hitler.
November 22, 2025 at 2:41 AM
Make up your mind. "I don't think the others were wrong. I do think most Christians got it wrong." 🤪

And that's what most Christians say about Other Christians. All your different "interpretations," but it sounds like your Christian god really doesn't care. You could even be Catholic... right? 🤔

Luther was big on literal interpretation.

There's no reason to think he believed anything other than a 7-day creation 6-10KYA, as was the style of the time. (And that Moses was a real person! 🤣)

Here's what seems to be a pretty representative analysis:

If you're a #truecrime fan, I highly recommend this book on HH Holmes, who's often—and erroneously—credited as "America's first serial killer" and immortalized as "The Devil in the White City."

While he was a murderer, he was first and foremost a con man, killing to cover his tracks.

Did get stuck in an aisle seat (next to the stairs down to the restrooms) but a $10 (spicy) bloody (from scratch!) with my feet up in the afternoon sun, enjoying what passes for Midwestern "scenery"? Not the worst way to get from A to B.

Pity we prioritize airlines and not railroads. I like trains.

We really need to get over the "rural/small town = Real America" BS.

The majority of Americans live in (sub-/)urban areas. Just because there are vast expanses where handfuls of conservatives live doesn't make it equal.

Stop idealizing those simple country folk for their simplicity.
