You might remember me from Creative Latitude, Designers Who Blog, NO!SPEC, or Women Learn Thai. These days I’m hanging out in Devon with The Man, three Maine Coons and a crazy Staffy.

Unless noted, photos are my own.
I’ve found Facebook harder to leave. I no longer post on my timeline but there are friends plus several learning groups I lean on. Oh, and Memories…

Just figured out background noise on iPhone videos (after this one). It’s the iPhone case…

Thank you for the info. I just checked and I can get Peche de vine here (Roots). Also, a search says that Avalon Pride and Red Haven both have a high resistance to peach leaf curl. So I just might attempt it ...

Btw. I'm in Devon, which is slightly warmer than Dorset (my part of Devon anyway).

Too fiddly? Same as nectarines, they get leaf curl. I tried a nectarine but it didn't make it (I refuse to baby trees). So I'm replacing it with a pear. I do know people here who grow peaches and nectarines in polytunnels but mine isn't big enough.

When I said no to weighing they’d act stunned. Only one gave up at the beginning during all that time. The rest kept at it, often dragging other nurses in to help. But no meant no.

Ha. What I don’t miss is them demanding to weigh me each visit, no matter how often I went. They didn’t know what to do with a ‘no’.

Whoooh. What happened to Covid shots in Thailand? First I'm hearing of it.

Breakfast pizza that isn't leftovers ... nice.
I could really go for that.

That's really good to hear. Canada has been awful. Before deciding on the UK we were looking at Vancouver. Decided against in part because of the burning.

It was nasty. Soupy even. The first time it hit me I thought I was coming down with a flu of some sort (I was the only one suffering - not the man or the teen). When we realised, we would go to Chiang mai instead, somehow missing their infamous burning season.

Thailand isn't for the weak 😀

Good read. Very. I'm looking forward to the rest.

That was before the Skytrain, when pollution was crazy awful. A different awful than it is now.

I didn't move to Thailand until 2005, but from '94 on I flew in from Brunei 2-3 times a year.

Or maybe badger ... they have coarse guard hair (apparently).

That's what I was thinking too. The others have soft fur, right?

Excellent. Years ago I asked around for books such as this. Nada. Hopefully it’ll lead me to more.
