@bobduh.bsky.social Not sure if you were planning on checking out Anne Shirley this season, but it is really an interesting contrast with Takahata's 1979 version. It feels like very much its own thing, but also clearly indebted to Takahata et al.

@guardianenzo.bsky.social I feel like this week's episode of Medalist is exactly what you have been hoping for: we get Tsukasa's backstory. Of course it comes right after you stop watching. :0

@lucasderuyter.bsky.social I'm curious, did you ever watched more than one episode of the I Have a Crush at Work anime currently airing? Legality aside, it has been an oasis for me: adults in an adult relationship where the struggles are not manufactured, but relatable. Not spectacular, but solid.

@bobduh.bsky.social Was just looking at the new articles on CrunchyRoll and saw your new feature there. Nice work! www.crunchyroll.com/news/feature...

@bobduh.bsky.social I do not know your relationship with the franchise, but I think you might like Uma Musume: Pretty Derby - Beginning of a New Era. It reminds of those early One Piece episode in that it is totally standalone, great, and lets a director experiment with style in interesting ways.

Cannibalism, the abject, and queering the narrative in Delicious in Dungeon

Ryoko Kui takes elements of horror and abjection and transforms them into love and community, just like our leads in the dungeon itself; and cannibalism is still pretty gay

@fandompost.com I appreciate you corresponding about the RSS feed issues. Feedly told me they are getting the following CloudFlare error: "CF rayid 8db45c63a99522ae". I do not know if this identifies something that maybe updated to alleviate the issue, but I wanted to pass it on in case.

@fandompost.com It appears that the Fandom Post RSS feed is unreachable. Not sure if it is possible to get that up and working again, but it was my favorite way to keep up with everything. Thanks in advance. 😀

@allyourscreens.bsky.social FYI: when I added an RSS feed to your AYS homepage (www.allyourscreens.com?format=feed&...), it only included in your review section (e.g. not today's Netflix piece). If I add the feed specifically for US, or other parts of the site, this is not problem.

@guardianenzo.bsky.social Not sure if you are looking for an anime to fill "that" niche this season, but I did want to mention Kinokoinu. Man grieving over death of dog finds that a mushroom in his garden seems to become a mushroom dog (hence title). Not groundbreaking, but a nice iyashikei on grief

@laurenorsini.bsky.social By coincidence I started Gundam 00 and Seed at the same time and finish Gundam 00 s2 and Seed Destiny at the same time. My take:
00 tried to do something more interesting initially, gave up, then became okay.
Seed was never more than fine. Also, many dead women.

@animenewsnetwork.com Dungeon Meshi's newest episode is not currently in the latest episodes feed. Hoping that could be added soon. 🤞

@bunnycartoon.bsky.social Curious if you have ever watched the 60s Astro Boy. Near the end a story resolved by the villain falling off a cliff to his death as a result of killing one of Atom's friend (it holds on this shot) and a fews eps later it starts with Atom in a live-action world. Wild stuff.

Crunchyroll fails to meet industry standards for Closed Captioning

While other streamers like Netflix, HiDive, and RetroCrush caption their entire dubbed libraries, the monopoly-holding #Crunchyroll only does so for a fraction of their library

@thefienprint.bsky.social Curious if you have checked out Carol & the end of the world. Feels like Martha from Baskets was transported to a low key animated show taking place with light end of the word vibes and lots of existential dread. Martha Kelly is voicing the character too!
